I haven’t really been writing much here lately, and thought I’d give a short update on why.
Firstly I have had less time the past few weeks because I went back to work after my vacation, and then I got sick and didn’t really have a lot of energy for anything at all. And the energy I had I spent on making actual art (I know a lot of people refuses to acknowledge AI art as art, and I invite them to try for themselves if it’s as easy as they claim it to be).
I haven’t just been trying to mass produce useless (but pretty) images, but instead I’ve been focusing on trying out new concepts and methods. And I’ve started to put them together in an AI Gallery, check it out if you haven’t already.
I know there’s still a lot of work to be done with the gallery as it is right now. The links to the different categories really suck, and I wish I could make the image galleries themselves look better. I’m looking for solutions to this, and so far what I’ve found is WordPress plugins.
I f*cking hate wordpress plugins. I’d probably buy some if they had a one-time purchase fee, but most plugin creators (if not all) expects you to pay a monthly or yearly fee. I’m not doing that. At least not while I’m still losing money just to keep this website up and running.
And wordpress also sucks when it comes to create custom HTML stuff. Even though you can make parts of your wordpress website with HTML, it’s very limiting – especially if you want or need custom CSS to make it work. But as I said, I’m trying to figure out a good solution.

The reasoning behind creating an AI Art Gallery are several.
I hope that it will drive more traffic to my website, and that maybe it will start paying for itself through the advertising. I’m one of those people who really hate advertising myself, so I do try to make sure to keep the ads to a minimum and also make sure they aren’t intrusive or advertising certain things. If you do visit this website on a regular basis, it would help me a lot if you would consider to whitelist this website in your adblocker, or turn off your adblocker completely for my website.
Even though I realize that the chances are slim that someone stumble on this website and like my content enough to offer some kind of partnership or paid work, the chances are higher if I actually show my content than if I don’t have anything to show. It would be a bit of a dream come through to be able to actually make a living from this.
The competition is extremely high though, and there’s a lot of super skilled AI artists out there. But when it comes to creating AI art, creativity is just a small part. There’s always a lot of new things to learn, and learning takes a lot of time. But the hardest part, or at least the most expensive part, is to update the hardware needed as the AI gets more advanced.
I recently got a new graphics card and more RAM for my PC, and it will soon be outdated again. Of course, I will always be able to create using the AI I’m using today. But if I want to keep up with the rest of the AI community, I will soon have to update my computer again.
Anyway, I hope to soon catch up on work as well as with the Gallery and get back to writing more about AI again.
